Exactly jow are you adding the “white board?”
Patrick Murphy
46:33
It is an option under "share screen"
Timothy Wiseman
46:36
It is one of the options that should be there when you click on screen sharing.
Kimbray
46:49
Ok. Thanks!
Daniel Jordan
47:28
You won't see that as a participant. It's available to the meeting host.
Zachary Smith
47:48
Thanks, Daniel.
Timothy Wiseman

How did you save this video from youtube to share with the class?
Daniel Jordan
55:01
You could also try using Zoom for this. Create a meeting, share your screen and record the presentation. You can then post that video anywhere you need.
Timothy Wiseman
55:24
Great idea, Daniel!
Kimbray
56:53
Thanks Daniel. I’m going to research this in more detail. I actually LOVE this idea. It’s absolutely brilliant. I’m just NOT technologically savvy.

Marginal cost is more bad food.

May be able to download videos from YouTube using Firefox with an appropriate add-on (but they are constantly changing) … not that I've done this mind you
Brian Camp
58:38
might be easier to just embed a link to YouTube and set the time parameter if you want them to start watching at a certain point
Kimbray

Thank you!

Question: What is the best way to practice?
Thomas Wilson
01:00:53
Will TikTOK continue to be available
Iain Duffy
01:01:53
theres a fairly easy way to save a you tube video as an mp4 using vlc, this can then be posted to the class site
Kimbray
01:02:12
Do we have access to kahoot or must we pay for this?
Kimbray
01:02:25

Zachary Smith
01:02:49
TikTok's existence is kind of up in the air right now, but I think that it will survive.
Daniel Jordan

I tried to do a zoom account. I was told that I only had 3o minutes. Does the university pay for this or do we have to pay for this?
Daniel Jordan
01:05:26
Every faculty member, staff, and student at SLU has a Zoom PRO account through the university.
Brian Camp
01:05:27
you should have a zoom account through saint leo… use the login through okta
Andrew Gold
01:05:29
Regular zoom accounts are limited to a 45 minute meeting if you don't have a paid account. The Saint Leo paid account gives you the ability to host meetings that are much longer.
Kimbray
01:05:48
How do we access the saint leo paid account?
Daniel Jordan
01:05:54
Students who have not accessed their accounts before will need to sign in one time via Okta to activate their account.
Daniel Jordan
01:05:58
Via okta
Daniel Jordan
01:06:30
It's available on your Okta dashboard..
Andrew Gold
01:06:34
You can have non-SLU people attend a meeting by making sure that the box is unchecked for "authorized users." If I want outsiders to have access, I do that and add a password...as long as they have the password, should be able to get in.
Kimbray
01:06:56
