what Does RBG have to do with our democratic process. She is getting replaced exactly the way Constitution states it should be done. The breonna Taylor case was a symbol of exactly how a judicial system is supposed to work. Grand Jury and evidence. We can not advocate emotions rather than facts.
Fern Aefsky
56:09

So true!
Fern Aefsky

Favorite quote: George Bernard Shaw "the problem with communication is the illusion that it occurred" Need to communicate well and frequently and an important component of communication is listening
Georgina Rivera-Singletary
01:03:35
I would add listening "to understand" and not just to respond
mafus
01:03:55
do you think people want to help but not sure how to "find" their lane?
Ebony Perez
01:05:11
Yes Georgina that is so key.
Jennifer Gonzalez
01:05:13
Thank you - it is a challenge to find the right lane. Being a caretaker type, it's hard to focus on one thing. And self-care!
Ebony Perez
01:05:33
Mafus- I will put that one out there :) Great point

There comes a point where emotions must give way to objective facts. - Author: Max Brooks
Christina Cazanave
01:06:17
Mafus, yes, I agree people are unsure of how to find their lane. I think fear of messing up. Fear of saying the wrong thing really keep us from exploring the lanes. It begins with starting small. Having those conversations within our family and friends. When we feel confident move forward and exploring.
Holly Atkins
01:07:31
Alan -- Help me to understand what you're saying about emotions in this conversation.
John Schultz
01:07:43
In the social justice platform where do victim rights stand??
Jennifer Gonzalez
01:08:36
John Shultz - excellent question!
Alan Klyap
01:19:46
Facts matter - Breonna Taylor was a victim of both her poor choices and an unfortunate act by the police Police did exactly what they were trained to do and it is presented as a failure in our Democratic system. The fact is it was a terrible situation but the circumstances that both she and police found were put in caused the unfortunate incident, not race or our constitution or Democratic system. Bad things happening are not always about race, although it plays a role. Taylor was about drugs, and crime, and money and police being shot at but not about race. Emotions from the speaker appeared to overrule the facts and indict a system that worked exactly how it was supposed to. Rather than making this a race issue. Make it an economic issue That is the underlying cause of this. It is a crime problem. Social Justice can not always blame authority and the system. That is disingenuous and dangerous. and it is not fair to anyone. Breonna Taylor would have been alive if decisions had been made different
