Were you able to break the data down by 'colleges' to see if there was a difference?
Francis Orlando

Will, do you think that on these transitions perceptions of faculty caring before the break (in person) would color people's perceptions of caring after the break?

Is their any indication of how automated responses "work" in this situation?
Keith Jones

I appreciate that perspective. Thank you. I was just interested in the College level to see what the overall thought process was.

I'm thinking of the responses that we get from politicians or even call centers that say "thank you for your email. I will respond within 36 hours"

One of the responses you got from a student transitioning to online was desire for online tutorial how to take online class - was a tutorial developed? covering D2L & Zoom at SLU

Following up on Frank's question, would the ease or comfort level of technology usage of the faculty impact their appearance of caring?
Kenny Embry

I would be interested in seeing expectation regarding specific communication channels. In other words is there some specific expectation with email versus Teams chat versus D2L announcement?
Francis Orlando

Thanks Will, I asked because as someone that teaches more often on ground, it is easy for me to convey caring in person than online. I am wondering if I relied on some residual caring points I gained before we went online to keep students going. It might be more difficult for me with students I didn't have the in person experience with before.
